Under the Child and Family Services Act, birth records of adopted children could be sealed and kept from them. This documentary focuses on the issues this can pose for those who are adopted, as we see in Donna Marie Marchand’s story.
Marchand is a Cree poet, musician, constitutional lawyer, and accidental warrior. This is an adopted person’s search for their identity, told by a woman who has faced countless forms of discrimination throughout her life.
